ADULT FOCUS PROGRAM

INTRO TO PROFESSIONAL TECHNIQUE - 3 DAY INTENSIVE - [ENROLLMENT CLOSED]
Max 12 Students
This program is designed to help the adult actor focus their abilities on realizing their acting potential. Beginners and experienced actors will deepen their understanding of the actor’s process and learn how to utilize a step-by-step system that will allow them to tackle any role with confidence. Through scene study, exercises, improv and on-camera work participants learn to act honestly and believably while meeting the technical demands of Film and TV. This course is highly recommended for students of all levels new to ACT Vancouver and our system.

FOCUS I: SCENE STUDY / ACTOR TRAINING - 5 WEEKS - [Sign-Up NOW]
Max 12 Students
Focus I is a scene study class for returning students [or students with approval from the instructor] that includes voice work, movement, improv and “process” training. Actors will continue to develop a step-by-step system to tackle any role with confidence. Through script analysis, exercises and rehearsal students train working honestly and believably while meeting the technical demands of Film and TV.
5 classes 6:30pm - 10:00pm

FOCUS II: ACTING FOR CONTINUITY - 3 DAY INTENSIVE - [ENROLLMENT CLOSED]
Max 10 Students
Focus II is an advanced on-camera scene study class for returning students [or students with approval from the instructor] that incorporates script analysis, personalization and professional technique. Putting their acting process into practice, students train what to do from the time they first get the script to the moment the director says, “Cut!”. Actors work scenes, fully rehearse them and then shoot them in the "Hollywood Continuity Style" re-creating the realistic on-set demands of working professionally.
3x8 hour classes 10:00am - 7:00pm
$375+HST
